The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Dr. H. M. Hatta Ali, S.H., M.H., supervised the oath taking of Chairman of the Audit Board (BPK), Dr. Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, S.E., A.K., M.M., CPA., CA., and Vice Chairman of the Audit Board, Prof. Dr. Bahrullah Akbar, MBA., CMPM., in Kusumah Atmadja Room, 14th floor of the Supreme Court Tower Building, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara No. 9-13 Jakarta Pusat.

The oath taking which was presided over by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is in pursuant to Article 16 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 15 of 2016 on The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia which stipulates that before taking the positions, the Chairman and Vice Chairman shall take oath or vow according to their religion.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman of BPK had been elected by acclamation in the meeting of BPK on Friday (21/4). The election of Chairman and Vice Chairman was attended by all members of BPK in accordance with Article 15 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 15 of 2006 which stipulates that Chairman and Vice Chairman shall be elected by and from the BPK members and Regulation of the Audit Board Number 1 of 2014 on Amendment to Regulation of the Audit Board Number 1 of 2009 on Procedures for Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia.

The oath ceremony was attended by Leaders of National Institutions, House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker, Regional Representatives Council (DPD) Speaker, Ministers, Supreme Court Leaders, BPK Executives, BPK members, and other invited guests. (ds/rs/andhi)
