Jakarta –Public Relations: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Dr. H. M. Syarifuddin, S.H., M.H., opens Training of Environmental Judge Certification for judges of Appellate Court and First court of General Court, Military Court, and Administrative court in all over Indonesia for 2020 at Command Center of the Supreme Court, on Monday, August 10th, 2020.  In the occasion, the Chief Justice accompanied by Vice Chief Justice for Non-Judicial Matters, Chairman of Development Chamber, Chairman of Civil Chamber, Justices of Administrative Chamber, Head of Research and Development Center For Law And Judiciary of the Supreme Court Agency, and Head of Public Relations and Legal Affairs Bureau.

The opening of training is held by long-distance learning methods which take place from August 10, 2020, to September 11th, 2020. Dr. Syarifuddin in his remarks says that globalization phenomenon of the day contributes to sustainability changing. The rampant exploitation of Natural Resources (SDA) which results in forest fires and excessive mining exploitation that occurs in Indonesia and other countries globally has alarmed the world, especially forests in Indonesia which are the world's lungs.

“Referring to the negative impact of globalization on environmental, we hope judges followed this training can be an expert judge in their field to keep dignity justice. Judges can develop personal capability and competence, and also can learn from experiences in handling cases,” says the Chief Justice.

In the same time, Chairman of Development Chamber Prof. Dr. Takdir Rahmadi, S.H., L.L.M., also thanks to trainees and delivers that this certification is different from another certification such as anti-corruption judges. Environmental issues are complex, sometimes, government policies itself creates environmental problems which is not only happened in developing countries but also in developed countries.
